Ashley Deaton is from the greater New Orleans area.  She is an experienced dancer, choreographer, coach, director, and music editor who has spent the past 19 years working in the professional sports entertainment industry.  As a college dancer, she was an original member of the LSU Tiger Girls, winning a national championship with the team in 1999.  Her experience and highly sought after skills led her to the New Orleans Hornets in 2002 as a dancer, choreographer and coach of the Honeybees.  Her success led her to the role of Senior Director of Entertainment Teams for the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, directing and working with over 100 entertainers on the NBA stage and NFL field.  Ashley specializes in visual stylized hip hop, street jazz, and funky pom.   She is currently the owner and founder of “Soul Werk”; a health and wellness lifestyle brand that merges her love for dance with personal health and life coaching.

Alexis Schallenberg is from Chalmette, Louisiana, where she began her formal and competitive training at Modern Conceptions of Dance.  She attended New Orleans Center of Creative Arts (NOCCA) and Chalmette High School where she was on the dance team.  After high school, Alexis continued her dance education at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts.  While a student, she was a three-year member of The Collective (Jazz/Contemporary Team) and Synergy (hip hop team).  She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree and Magna Cum Laude Honors in 2019.  With extensive training in all genres of dance (including Acro) Alexis returned home to begin teaching at MCD and working with their competition team.  She continues to take class and is a Senior Staff Member at American All-Star.
